About the Role
SDI Services is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the on-site execution of utility-scale solar projects. This role is responsible for coordinating crews, subcontractors, schedules, and safety compliance while ensuring quality work is delivered on time and within scope. Ideal candidates will have strong leadership, technical, and communication skills, with experience in utility-scale solar.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily construction operations for solar installations
- Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, and project managers
- Maintain site safety culture and enforce all OSHA protocols
- Track progress, production, and cost data for accurate reporting
- Interpret and work from structural, civil, and electrical plans
- Resolve on-site issues and adapt to evolving project needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or Business
- 5+ years’ experience in utility-scale solar construction
- Strong working knowledge of construction processes and safety compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project)
- OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license
